CSD Complete Non-Destructive Analysis on Caisson Sections
CSD Scotland Ltd are pleased to announce the recent successful completion of a Non-Destructive analysis project on Caisson sections.
This contract was awarded to CSD with the scope of requirement to carry out a detailed analysis of several caissons from Offshore assets in order to identify the possible failure mechanisms.
The handling and preparation prior to analysis was carried out in house, transported and offloaded by RIM Fabrication Ltd utilising our own cranes and articulated lorries and surface treated and cleaned by e-Blast Ltd.
The analysis was carried out using various Inspection techniques including Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection (PAUT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Close Visual Inspection (CVI).
This challenging project allowed CSD to demonstrate the various Inspection method's that we offer, producing detailed information that will be used to help determine what preventative measures and future inspection campaigns / surveys are required to ensure the future integrity of these critical items.
